Katy Perry recently returned from a groundbreaking adventure, joining an all-female crew on Blue Origin's New Shepard NS-31 mission. Here's everything you need to know about this celestial milestone:

Mission Overview:

Katy’s big blast-off happened on April 14, 2025, launching from Blue Origin’s site in West Texas. The whole trip lasted just 10 minutes and 21 seconds—but in that time, she soared past the Kármán line and officially reached the edge of space!

Trailblazing Crew:

  • Katy Perry – Pop icon and advocate for empowerment

  • Lauren Sánchez – Journalist and pilot

  • Gayle King – Veteran broadcaster

  • Aisha Bowe – Aerospace engineer and former NASA scientist

  • Amanda Nguyen – Civil rights activist

  • Kerianne Flynn – Film producer

This mission marked the first all-female spaceflight since 1963, highlighting a significant step forward in gender representation in space exploration.

During the flight, the crew experienced approximately three minutes of weightlessness, floating freely while taking in breathtaking views of Earth—and even spotting a rare “pink moon.”

Katy Perry, true to form, made the most of her zero-gravity moment by serenading the capsule with “What a Wonderful World,” a fitting tribute to the planet below. In a touching gesture, she also brought a daisy with her to honor her daughter, Daisy Dove, symbolizing love, strength, and the bond between mother and child.

Upon landing, both Perry and Gayle King were seen kissing the ground in an emotional moment of gratitude. Describing the trip as “the highest high,” Perry hinted that this out-of-this-world experience may spark future creative projects
